From the Mountains
Biography
From a luminous generation of composers, Trevor embraces a dreamlike, colorful approach inspired by video game melody, vibrant classical, and a deep love of nature. Trevor is Emmy®-nominated (NW) and has written music for numerous awarded productions, notably Loren Waters' "Tiger", winning at Sundance Film Festival® and the 2026 Emmy®-Awards (PSW).
Eclectic artists like Thelonious Monk, John Denver, and the melodic sense of Nintendo inspire his music. Major influences include Camille Saint-Saëns, Jennifer Higdon, and John Barry.
Distinctly shaped by the Adirondack Mountains and enthralled with music from a young age, Trevor started playing piano at 6 and writing fragments of melodies. Growing up, he played piano on the street and in bars between jobs. He studied at Boston University with the influential Ketty Nez, where he was the first freshman to win the orchestra's composition contest, and at the Royal College of Music in London where he performed under conductor Bernard Haitink. Trevor gained experience at composer Hans Zimmer's studio.
2026 saw Trevor's critically-acclaimed soundtrack for "WILL: Follow the Light", TomorrowHead Studio's debut game. In 2025, Trevor recorded "Piano Themes 2", a sequel to his first album, consisting of works composed over the last decade, and scored Loren Waters' (Forbes 30 Under 30) "Tiger". 2023 marked the beginning of their collaboration on "ᏗᏂᏠᎯ ᎤᏪᏯ (Meet Me at the Creek)". He spent 2021-2023 traveling across the remote American Southwest to create his orchestra album "The Twilight Glow", distributed by label Neue Meister. Since 2021 he has composed for numerous films by Alaskan director Alexis Anoruk Salle.
In 2018, Trevor's "windowpane" EPs (Daydream In Silver, Luminescence...) marked a dive into atmosphere and memories that saw his arrival on the global stage, garnering 30 million streams within 6 months of release. Trevor is a french horn player and conductor in addition to pianist.
Starting 2021, he has independently produced and recorded American Native and traditional artists in co-soundtracks displayed in the Anchorage and Autry Museums, and his music has been heard at the Teatro Colón Opera House in Buenos Aires and across festivals in the US. He is Wwise certified for game audio programming.
His childhood dream has been to compose music for a James Bond film, like his favorite film composer John Barry.
